Hickory Man In Jail With Half-Million Dollar Bond After Missing Court Date

29-year-old Sulton Jeleel Jones of Hickory has been arrested by Catawba County Sheriff’s Office Deputies on multiple counts of failure to appear. Jones failed to appear in court on charges of breaking & entering with intent to terrorize or injure, assault on a female, possession of marijuana up to half-an-ounce, injury to personal property, and resisting a public officer.

Jones was jailed Tuesday in the Catawba County Detention Facility under a half-million dollar bond. A Superior Court appearance is scheduled for August 21 in Newton.
