Hickory High’s varsity girls basketball team did not play on Tuesday night and will postpone their next three games.
Athletic director David Craft says the girls will play their next game on Saturday, January 30th at home against McDowell. Although Craft did not give a specific reason for the postponements, reports indicate a number of Hickory players and or coaches are in COVID-19 quarantine.
In addition to not playing at Watauga on Tuesday evening, the team won’t play Friday at Alexander Central, next Tuesday at home against St. Stephens or Jan. 29 at home against McDowell.
Hickory’s varsity men plan to play those three games as scheduled.
