Alexander Central split a pair of Varsity Basketball Games Tuesday evening at St Stephens

Women

Nikki Hagy’s put-back with 4 seconds remaining in the game gave the Lady Cougars the victory. Hagy scored another double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. ACHS suffered at the charity stripe going just 8 of 25 at the free-throw line. With the win, AC improves to 3-0 and 2-0 in the Northwestern Conference.

Men

A bad 2nd quarter doomed the Cougars on the road. The Indians outscored AC 21-7 in the period. Zach Herman had 16 pts for Alexander Central who falls to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in league play.

Zane McPherson led St Stephens with 28 points that included 8 of 12 three-point baskets. The Indians had 18 baskets from behind the arc in the game compared to only 5 for the Blue and Gold.
