The Granite Falls Police Department is trying to locate Kun Min Park, 52, of Laurel, Maryland for the crimes of felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods, and felony obtaining property by false pretense.
On November 9, 2018 a report was filed with the Granite Falls Police Department stating that Park took $92,065.00 in lighting equipment from Commercial Lighting located at 30 North Main Street, Granite Falls, NC on September 27, 2018. Park was a customer of Commercial Lighting, so the company attempted to collect the money from Park. Park could not be reached at any location or telephone number that he had previously used.
On September 28, 2018 Commercial Lighting received a returned check Park had written them from their bank because there were insufficient funds in Park’s account. The check was for $7,021.00 that was to pay for lighting equipment Park had picked up in August 2018 from Commercial Lighting.
After a lengthy investigation, Granite Falls Police Investigators obtained enough information to indict Park. Park had been using the name Eric Park under a business name of Green Light Express, Inc. Park’s business, Green Light Express, Inc, was supposed to have a building in Charlotte, NC and in Elliot City, Maryland. Investigators could not locate Park’s businesses at the addresses given.
