Granite Falls Police Searching For Suspect

On Thursday, the United States Marshals Service attempted to locate a wanted subject at a residence on Lakeside Avenue near Lakeside Park, in Granite Falls. The Marshals were attempting to locate Jonathan Pearson of Burke County. Pearson is wanted for Parole Violation and Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.

When the Marshals arrived at the residence, Pearson fled on foot into the wooded area

The Granite Falls Police Department assisted in attempting to locate Pearson for the next several hours. Pearson has not been located at this time. If you see Pearson, please call 911. Do not approach Pearson, as he is considered armed and dangerous.

Pearson is a 34-year-old white male, 6’2”, 175 pounds, brown hair, blue eyes and was last seen wearing a gray shirt and white shorts or pants.
