Granite Falls Man Arrested

A Granite Falls man is facing a series of charges after Newton Police arrested him on Wednesday.

34-year old Kenneth Brandon Johnson is charged with multiple counts of attempting to break-in/enter a motor vehicle, communicating threats, assault on a government official and two counts of resisting a public officer. Johnson is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond of $9,000. A court appearance is set for today in Newton.
