An Alexander County Grand Jury on Monday returned a bill of indictment for murder against three people charged with a double homicide in Alexander County.
On February 9th, 38 year old Chad Lee Kennedy and Mark Jefferson Furey, age 57 were found shot to death inside a mobile home off Mt Wesley Church Road, The two men were living at the location and were found with multiple gunshot wounds and found in different rooms of the home. Alexander County Sheriff Chris Bowman has said that both were shot at close range and likely shot with a rifle.
Adam Thomas Morgan, age 20 was arrested on March 16th during a traffic stop on Highway 16 north of Taylorsville. He was charged with two counts of murder. 36- year -old Robert Bryan Hoover was arrested Friday, March 15th in Saltville, Virginia. Hoover was also charged with two counts of murder. Also arrested in Virginia was 28- year- old Brandy Lynn Miller of Stony Point. She is charged with two counts of accessory after the fact of murder. Miller, along with Hoover remain behind bars in Virginia, they have an extradition hearing set for Wednesday. Morgan remains in the Alexander County Detention Center. Still, nothing has been heard from the State Medical Examiners Office concerning a third man who was found dead at the same residence. John Allen Kennedy, age 50 was found dead on January 31st. John Kennedy and Chad Lee Kennedy were brothers.
