The North Carolina National Guard (NCNG) will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new regional readiness center in Morganton on Thursday August 3.
The ceremony will include speeches from local legislators State Sen. Warren Daniel (District 46), Rep. Hugh Blackwell (District 86), NCNG leaders and project managers. A video detailing the facility’s construction timeline and features will also be shown. The new campus will include three buildings totaling 66,000 square feet on 38 acres. The facility will serve the 630th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion of the 113th Sustainment Brigade and the 505th Engineer Battalion of the 130th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, enabling training and readiness for years to come.
The new facility is located at 5515 Western Avenue, Morganton.
