The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene of an overnight shooting.
Deputies responded just before 3am to 30th Street NE in Conover for a breaking or entering in progress.
One person was found shot to death, another was critically wounded and taken to an area hospital.
A suspect is in custody.
