A Wilkes County man died in a Tuesday accident.
73-year old Larry George Sale of Wilkesboro was killed in a collision in Wilkes County on Edgewood Road near Country Club Extension. The North Carolina Highway Patrol says Sale was operating a vehicle and failed to yield when turning into a private driveway. His vehicle collided with another vehicle then left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The mishap was reported shortly after 2 pm.
An 18-year old driver of the other vehicle and two passengers were seriously injured and transported to the Wake Forest University Baptist Health Center in Winston-Salem.
