The investigation leading to Shuford’s arrest began when Narcotics Investigators received information that the suspect was distributing crack cocaine and other illegal drugs in the area. Undercover Officers established surveillance operations. Last Wednesday (October 21), Narcotics Investigators and Officers with the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (S.E.R.T.) executed a narcotics search warrant at Shuford’s residence. Investigators found crack cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana, and a firearm in the home.
Shuford was placed in the Iredell Co. Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond. He’ll appear in District Court on December 1.
