The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 5-month-old child.
Authorities were called to a home in the 600 block of Old Mountain Road late Sunday afternoon. The child’s death is under investigation.
Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell said preliminary reports are that the child was left inside a car for several hours.
