The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation after deputies responded to a location on Driftwood Drive in Granite Falls just after 5pm on Friday.
Sheriff Kevin Bean said detectives responded to the scene and are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the death. The deceased will be transported to the North Carolina Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death.
The investigation remains ongoing. No additional information is being released at this time.
