Multiple injuries have been reported as the result of an accident involving an Iredell County School bus Friday morning.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 8:05 a.m. at Houpe Road and Shumaker Drive in East Statesville. Twenty-Six East Iredell Middle School students were aboard the bus. At least nine were transported to area hospitals. The extent of the injuries are not certain.
The driver of a passenger car that crossed the center-line has been charged.
