COVID-19 Numbers In Alexander County Taking Upward Spiral

COVID-19 cases continue to ramp upward in Alexander County !

At noon on Thursday, 4,545 cases had been reported according to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services

29 new cases in the last two days

37 new cases since Friday

Five Alexander County Citizens are hospitalized with COVID associated symptoms

86 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic

Only 34 percent of Alexander County citizens are fully vaccinated, which is well below the state and national average.

The Alexander County Health Department has a good supply of both the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines.
