Couple Nabbed For Meth Trafficking In Catawba County

A couple from Georgia are facing drug charges in Catawba County.

The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office arrested 46-year old Gary Scott Thompson of Buford Georgia on Monday and charged him with felony trafficking in methamphetamine and felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine. He was placed in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond of $35,000. Thompson is scheduled for an initial court appearance today in Newton.

29-year old Courtney Rayann White of Monroe Georgia was charged with felony trafficking in methamphetamine and felony possession with intent to dsll/deliver methamphetamine. Her bond was set at $21,000. White is also scheduled for a court appearance today.
