After a rare losing season in 2021, Alexander Central is back !
Sophomore Maddox Jack and junior JD Little combined on a 4-hit shutout as Alexander Central beat South Caldwell to capture the Northwestern Conference Tournament crown Thursday evening in Sawmills.
Jack gets the win going 5 innings allowing 2 hits and striking out 7. Sophomore 2b Jaret Hoppes went 2-4 with 2 runs bated in. Lf Grove Lowrance went 2-2 and knocked in a pair of runs as well.
The Cougars scored 2 runs in the first and added 4 in the fourth.
ACHS is 21-4 on the season and awaits the state playoff pairings. South Caldwell falls to 15-8.
