The Blue and Gold exploded in the 2nd half outscoring the visitors from Morganton 52-22. The game was even at the break prior to the AC onslaught.
Zach Herman led the Cougars with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Evan Presnell had 19 including 4 three-point baskets, Avery Cook totaled 14 points and 6 rebounds, and Grove Lowrance added 10 in the rout.
The Cougars improve to 4-1 overall and 3-1 in league play.
