Cougar Scoreboard. Alexander Central Softball Outscores Mooresville

The Lady Cougars stay undefeated but it wasn’t easy Monday in Mooresville. Alexander Central led 6-1 after 4.5 innings, Mooresville would rally scoring twice in the 5th and three times in the 7th.

Faith Carrigan went the distance in the circle allowing a season-high 11 hits and 6 walks. 5 of the 6 runs she allowed were earned. Laney Wike and Kenzie Church drove in a pair of runs each. Church homered. Peyton Price went 3-5 and scored a run.

Alexander Central is 9-0 and will open the Northwestern Conference season today at Ashe County. The loss drops Mooresville to 6-2.

Laila Elliot went 3-4 and drove in 4. Zalee Brown went 3-3 and drove in 3 for ACHS.
