Alexander Central scored 5 runs in the first inning and added runs in the second, third and fourth before forcing the 10-run rule with four in the sixth.
Jaret Hoppes had 3 hits and scored twice. Gage Weaver went 2-5 including a homer and 3 rbi. Dusty Sigmon and Spencer Oram both had a pair of hits for the Cougars who out hit the Panthers 12-6.
Cade Miller got the win going 4 innings and allowing 4 hits, he struck out 7.
ACHS is 18-3 overall and 7-2 in Northwestern Conference play. Hibriten drops to 11-11 and 4-5.

Men’s Golf
Alexander Central and Freedom tied for the win in a Northwestern Conference Golf Match on Monday at Watauga. The match was played at Boone Golf Club.
The Cougars and Patriots both shot 307 to out-pace the other conference teams.
Aiden Hollar was low for the Cougars with a 75. Christian Stone shot 76 and Rylan St Clair, Evan Presnell and Avery Cook carded 78’s.
Maddox Wittington of Hibriten was the medalist with an even-par 72.
