Cougar Men’s Basketball On Hold Due To COVID-19 Close Contact

Alexander Central’s men’s Basketball team has been notified of a possible close contact over the weekend according to ACHS Sports Information Director Jonathan Watts.

The situation was evaluated by administration, medical team, and the NCHSAA. The scheduled game at Hickory for Tuesday (2/16) will be deemed a “No Contest” and will not be made up.

In addition, the men’s game game scheduled for Friday (2/19) vs. South Caldwell has been cancelled and will not be made up. Due to this, the game that was played on Friday (2/12) against South Caldwell now is counted as a conference game.

Here is the current Alexander Central Basketball scheduled

Tuesday (2/16)
at Hickory
     JV Girls  4:30 PM
     Varsity Girls  6 PM

Wednesday (2/17)
JV Girls vs. Lake Norman  4 PM

Thursday (2/18)
Varsity Boys vs. Watauga  6 PM

Friday (2/19)
vs. South Caldwell
      JV Girls 4:30 PM
      Varsity Girls  6 PM
