The Cougars got off to a sluggish start but recovered in the second-half to get the win in Taylorsville Tuesday evening. Down 16-9 after the first quarter and still down three points at halftime, Alexander Central turned things up after the break. AC took the third quarter 20-9 and cruised to the win.
Evan Presnell led the Cougar scoring with 23, Dusty Sigmon had 12, and Grove Lowrance added 10. Mark Hall led Tabernacle with 16. Alexander Central improves to 11-2, Tabernacle falls to 10-3.
The Cougars host West Wilkes today including Varsity Women and Junior Varsity games.
