Cougar Hoops Sweep 4 Games From McDowell

Alexander Central hosted McDowell Friday evening. It might be the last trip to Taylorsville for the Titans as they will move to another conference in August.

The Lady Cougars stayed perfect to begin the season. Another double-double for Nikki Hagy. She finished the night with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Chesney Stikeleather and Gracie Harrington both added 11 points. The Lady Cougars are 4-0 overall and 3-0 in Northwestern Conference play.

The lead chnaged hands 11 times in a back and forth battle. The Blue and Gold were leading 17-16 at the half despite trailing at one time by 7 in the 2nd quarter. Avery Cook and Mason Hubbard led AC’s scoring with 9 each. Zach Herman added 8 and gathered 13 rebounds. Alexander Central is now 3-1 overall and 2-1 in NWC action.

Anna Jordan led ACHS with 12 points

Luke Hammer had 21 points to lead the Baby Cougars
