The Lady Cougars advanced to the Tournament Championship game with a win over conference rival South Caldwell. AC led 26-20 at the half and left no doubt outscoring the Lady Spartans 31-8 after the break. Malayah Adams led Alexander Central with 20 points, Meredith Wike contributed 13. AC is 11-0 and will play Maiden on Tuesday evening for the Tournament Title.
Men
Alexander Central 70 Fred T Foard 39
Alexander Central’s Men will join their female companions in the Tournament Finals after they cruised over Fred T Foard Monday night. AC never trailed. Noah VanBeurden collected 22 points for the Cougars. Sophomore Kade Flowers had 11 points and 16 rebounds. Dama Gaither-Walton paced the Tigers with 16. The Cougars are 7-3 and will battle Hickory Tuesday evening for the championship.
