Taylorsville: Perfect heading into Christmas ! Alexander Central’s women are 11-0 after a win over Davie County Tuesday night.
Davie led only for a few seconds in the first quarter to see the Lady Cougars up 17-8 after the opening period and 33-15 at halftime. AC would lead by as many as 33 points with 4 minutes left in the game.
Malayah Adams led Alexander Central with 14 points despite playing only 17 minutes. Anna Jordan had 12 followed by Hallie Jarrett and Meredith Wike with 10 each.
Madison Dougherty top the Davie scoring with 14.
Alexander Central is 11-0. Davie County is 4-4.

The War Eagles trailed only briefly in the first quarter and won the game with ease.
The Cougars had a 6 point lead with 6:54 left in the first period but Davie was on top 20-15 at the end of the quarter and 35-26 at the intermission.
The Cougars were guilty of 14 turnovers that the visitors from Mocksville converted to 21 points. The War Eagles led scoring in the paints 34-16.
Bryson Mickey led Davie with 19. Davie County is 8-0.
Jayon Conner paced the AC scoring with 19, Carter Fortner finished with 15. The Cougars drop to 5-6.
