Conover Man And Woman Arrested For Assaulting Police Officers

Hickory Police arrested a Conover man Saturday morning on a series of charges. 50-year old Horatio Chopin Johnson was cited for second-degree trespass, assault on a government official and resisting a public officer. Johnson is being held in the Catawba County Jail with under a bond of $6,500. He is scheduled to appear in Catawba County District Court on Monday, January 10th.

Hickory Officers also arrested a female listing the same Conover address. Donna Marie Griffin, age 41, is charged with second-degree trespass, multiple counts of resisting a public officer and assault on a government official. She is being held in custody with a bond of $7,500 and is also scheduled for court on Monday in Newton.
