The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Claremont man on Wednesday and charged him with first degree kidnapping. 23-year old Alexander Ger Herr was also served a warrant for missing a court date on a charge of solicitation by computer. Herr is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond of $9,000. He is scheduled to make a court appearance today in Newton.
