Claremont Man Charged With Assault With Intent To Kill

A Claremont man is being held without bond after his arrest on Monday by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office.

56-year old Jimmy Ray Green is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury, assault on a female and interfere with emergency communications.

He is schedules to make a court appearance today in Newton.
