40-year old Robert Lee McAffee of Newton was arrested Thursday by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office and served with a failure to appear warrant. The original charge was flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle. McAffee is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond of $20,000. He will make a court appearance today in Catawba County District Court in Newton.
