Catawba County Pedestrian Killed In Bizarre Accident

A Catawba County man was killed when he was struck by a utility pole following a crash. The Deceased is Darrenn Reeves Bradshaw of Terrell.

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, on Monday at approximately 1:50 p.m., troopers responded to a motor vehicle collision on NC 150. A low hanging cable line was struck by three vehicles traveling west on NC 150. The utility pole the cable line was attached to broke and struck Bradshaw, fatally injuring him.

There will be no charges in this case. Bradshaw’s exact age was not initially given, authorities say he was born in 1991.
