Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Catawba County man on Wednesday, September 16th. 37-year-old James Michael Chambers of Davis Ave. Newton, was charged with violation of a domestic violence protection order. He’s is wanted in Catawba County for felony probation violation and has a pair of felony charges pending. Newton Police charged Chambers earlier in the year with felony larceny of a motor vehicle and felony possession of a stolen vehicle. Total bond is set for $510,000. A Monday court appearance is scheduled for Monday in Taylorsville.
