Caldwell Duo Nabbed By Taylorsville Police

Following a traffic stop by Taylorsville Police in the pre-dawn hours on Monday, two Caldwell County residents were arrested and charged with drug related offenses.

50-year old Billy Joe Collins of Lenoir was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $10,000. He was scheduled to appear in Alexander County District Court on Monday.

25-year old Shaniah Ashley Marie Collins of Lenoir was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $7,500. Collins is scheduled for an August 30th court date.
