Zach Brzykcy
Brzykcy is pitching for the High-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals in Wilmington Deleware.
Zach has moved to the closer role this year and he’s flourishing. He pitched 2 innings last evening allowing no runs, 1 hit, 2 walks, and 4 strike outs. He collected his 4th save as the Blue Rocks defeated the Hudson Valley Renegades 2-0. His earned run average is 1.42.
Brzykcy was the Northwestern Conference Pitcher of the Year in 2017 for Alexander Central. He attended Virginia Tech University and was the bullpen closer for the Hokies before signing as a free agent with the Washington Nationals in 2020.
