All three people charged in connection with a double murder in Alexander County are now behind bars in the Alexander County Detention Center.
On February 9th, 38 year old Chad Lee Kennedy and Mark Jefferson Furey, age 57 were found shot to death inside a mobile home off Mt Wesley Church Road. The two men were living at the location and were found with multiple gunshot wounds and found in different rooms of the home. Alexander County Sheriff Chris Bowman has said that both were shot at close range and likely shot with a rifle.
This morning, 36- year-old Robert Bryan Hoover and 28- year-old Brandy Lynn Miller of Stony Point were transported from Virginia where they were arrested on March 15th. Hoover is charged with two counts of murder and Miller is charged with two counts of accessory after the fact of murder. Both waived extradition back to Alexander County. Deputies traveled to Virginia and returned them today according to Sheriff Bowman. Another man, Adam Thomas Morgan, age 20 was arrested on March 16th at a location north of Taylorsville. He, like the other two suspects is being held without bond.Still, nothing has been heard from the State Medical Examiners Office concerning a third man who was found dead at the same residence. John Allen Kennedy, age 50 was found dead on January 31st. John Kennedy and Chad Lee Kennedy were brothers.
Both Hoover and Miller will appear before a judge either today or Thursday according to Sheriff Bowman who said this morning, ”This investigation is still very active, there’s just not much we can comment on right now.”
