The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a drive-by shooting.
According to Sheriff Chris Bowman, a Stony Point residence was struck with gunfire Friday evening. Bowman says 911 got a call Friday around 10pm to a location off Johnny Martin Lane. A home had been hit with gunfire as well as a vehicle or vehicles. Three people were in the dwelling at the time of the gunfire, they were unharmed. Investigators found some 8 shell casings in the roadway and alongside the roadway.

A reward is possible for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible.
