*** Breaking News *** Double Murder Suspect Captured In Alexander County

Adam Thomas Morgan

A man suspected in two murders is now in custody. Adam Thomas Morgan, age 20 was captured today around 2am during a traffic stop on Highway 16 north of Taylorsville. He was arrested without incident.

Morgan has been charged with the murders of 38 year old Chad Lee Kennedy and Mark Jefferson Furey, age 57. Both men were found shot to death in a home off Mt Wesley Church Road in Eastern Alexander County on February 9th.

Morgan is being held without bond in the Alexander County Detention Center. He will make an initial court appearance on Monday in Taylorsville. More information will be released on Monday according to Alexander County Chief Deputy Todd Jones.
