Joseph Benjamin Glenn
38-year-old Joseph Benjamin Glenn, Lucky LN, Newton, was taken into custody on Monday by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. The charges are high-risk online activity by a registered sex-offender. Arrest documents reveal that Glenn allegedly was using social media sites that are prohibited based on his convicted status. He is also charged with violation of his parole.
In 2019, Glenn was convicted in Lincoln County on felony charges of first-degree kidnapping of a minor and indecent liberties with a child. He served less than four-years of a 12-year prison sentence before being paroled in November, 2023.
Glenn is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center without bond following a court appearance.
