*** BREAKING NEWS *** Clary Has Bond Hearing Today

The saga of Jason Daniel Clary has another twist. Clary, of Hiddenite is charged with the 2016 shooting death of 35 year old Travis Harold, also of Hiddenite. Clary admits to shooting Harold but claims it was in self defense after Harold arrived at his residence. Clary has been in and out of jail numerous times since his arrest after the shooting. Today, bond was set for Clary again.

On September 12th, a mistrial was declared after a jury failed to reach a verdict. The trial had lasted for a month. Clary was freed on a $1 million dollar bond, the same bond he was granted prior to the trial. On October 10th Clary was returned to jail after testing positive for methamphetamine. His bond was revoked at that time pending the bond hearing today.

At the hearing this afternoon, the judge allowed Clary a bond at a new amount of $1.5 million dollars and also increased his curfew restrictions should he make the new bond. Clary remains in the Alexander County Detention Center in leau of the new bond figure.
