A chase that began this afternoon in Catawba County ended with a crash in Alexander County.
Catawba County Sheriff’s Deputies spotted a black Kia SUV that was suspected as being a stolen vehicle and pursued it at a high rate of speed across the Highway 127 bridge into the Bethlehem Community. The North Carolina Highway Patrol and Alexander County Sheriff’s Office were also involved in the pursuit. The chase ended when the SUV left the roadway ½ mile from the intersection of Atioch Church Road.
