Alexander Central High School is in a Code-In as directed by the Taylorsville Police Department due to suspicious activity off of campus.
This code is used when the administration deems a situation that requires students are kept contained in the classroom, and no immediate danger to students or staff is perceived. This procedure may vary based on individual school sites and situations. During a Code-in, we keep students inside and strictly monitor outside access. Normal everyday operating procedures are very similar to a Code-in.
As a precautionary measure, Taylorsville Elementary Schools is also in a Code-In.
Update: The Code-In status has been lifted at both schools. No danger according to Taylorsville Police Chief Doug Bowman.
