Marcus Bowen
Bowen joined our Track and Field coaching staff in 2011 and served as an Assistant Coach for 11 seasons before serving as Head Coach for the past four seasons. In his four seasons serving as Head Coach, Bowen continued to grow the program as he was named as the Conference Coach of the Year for Women twice and for Men once. During his tenure as Head Coach, Bowen also coached several athletes to become state qualifiers.
After announcing his resignation, Bowen commented “This decision has not come easily. Coaching at Alexander Central has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my professional life. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with so many dedicated student-athletes, supportive families, fellow coaches, teachers, and administrators throughout the years. I want to sincerely thank the administration and athletic department for their support during my time with the program. I have built relationships and memories that I will always value, and I will continue to cheer for the success of the athletes and the future of the program.”
ACHS Athletic Director Nathan Robinson shared his thoughts by saying “I would like to thank Coach Bowen for leading our Track and Field program for the last four seasons. Marcus has been a fixture in our Athletic Department for the past 16 years in various coaching roles and he will be missed for sure. We wish him the best as he steps away from coaching at this time.”
