Kao Hang

A search for a missing man turned up a body on Friday in Burke County.

The Burke County Sheriff’s Office says human remains were found in a wooded area during the search for 51-year old Koa Hang. Hang was last seen after an auto crash on October 27th near the intersection of Icard School Road and Icard Rhodhiss Road.

Sheriff’s Deputies, local firefighters, emergency management personnel and North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation officers converged on the area in a search on Friday. The body was located in a creek around 4pm.

The body has been sent to the State Medical Examiners Office for identification.
