Assault Charge Filed Against Hiddenite Woman

A Hiddenite woman was arrested on an assault charge Monday morning.

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office charged Morgan Taylor Smith, age 26, after a report of an assault. When Deputies arrived, Smith had left the scene. He vehicle was spotted south of Taylorsville and she was taken into custody, then placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $3,500.
