Taylorsville: The Visiting Lady Huskies continued their success against Alexander Central Friday night winning against the Lady Cougars for the second time this season and the fourth time in the last two years.
The game was tied at the half but Ashe County outscored Alexander Central 21-11 in the third quarter to take control of the game.
Abbyy Sheets led Ashe with 28 points.
The duo of Kirstyn Herman (26 points) and Meredih Wike (24) accounted for 50 of the Lady Cougars 55 points.
Ashe County is 12-7 and 4-2 in Northwestern Conference play. Alexander Central falls to 16-4 and 2-4.

The Cougars picked up a badly needed win in a contest in which they never trailed.
Four Alexander Central players scored in double-figures led by Jayon Connor with 16. Chad Lasher accounted for 11 points. Garison Millsaps and Jaheim Redmond pitched in 10 apiece.
The Cougars move to 8-12 and 2-4. Ashe County slips to 6-13 and 2-4
