55-year old Tammy Yolanda Welch of Taylorsvile was taken into custody Friday morning by Alexander County Sheriff Deputies. She was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism/damage to personal property. Welch remains in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $4,500.
