Alexander County Woman Arrested On Felony Charge

April Dawn Atwood, age 44 of Taylorsville, was arrested Tuesday morning by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. She’s charged with possession of a weapon by a felon.

She’s been released under a secured bond of $10,000.

Atwood is serving a suspended sentence after a 2021 conviction in Catawba County for felony burning of private property.
