Alexander County Schools will be testing a new automated notification system to improve parent communication. The district office and schools will be using a new mass notification system that allows parents to receive notifications via phone calls, texts, and emails. Many schools will send out test messages this evening.
The district and two schools, Ellendale Elementary and Alexander Early College, have been piloting the new system for several months.
