A Stony Point man facing a Georgia rape charge in back in custody.
In October, 2023, Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 20-year old William Anthony Starnes on a warrant for rape issued by the Polk County, Georgia Sheriff’s Office. He was transferred to Georgia custody and later released.
On Tuesday, acting again on a fugitive warrant from Georgia, Alexander County Deputies arrested Starnes for a second time. He is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center without bond.
