Alexander County Man Arrested On Felony Vehicle Theft Charge

Alexander County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested 37-year old Ricky James Kilby of Taylorsville Wednesday morning. He was charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny of a motor vehicle and first-degree trespass. The charges are in relation to the theft of a motorcycle from a location off Higway 16 South of Taylorsville. Kilby is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $20,000. A July 10th court date is listed.

Kilby also has a felony possession of methamphetamine charge awaiting trial in Catawba County. That court date is set for July 20th in Newton.
