Alexander County Has Another COVID-19 Death

Alexander County recorded it’s 91st COVID-19 associated death on Friday.

According to the County Health Department, the numbers continue to spike.

As of noon on Friday, 4,956 cases have been counted since the beginning of the pandemic.

9 county citizens were hospitalized with associated symptoms as of noon on Friday

304 cases in past 14 days

144 cases in past 7 days

The county remains well below the state average for vaccinations. 38 percent have been fully vaccinated, 36 percent have at least the first dose.

The Alexander County Health Department is scheduling appointments for the Pfizer vaccine for persons age 12 and older and the Moderna vaccine for persons age 18 and older. To register for a vaccine appointment at our office, visit https://alexandercountync.gov/covid/ or call 828-632-9704.
